Saturday Shopping: Spring Decor

by

Apparently not everyone loves gray and white decor? WHAT?  I learned this while sitting in the waiting room of my eye Dr. the other day.  A couple was watching the TV and it must have been on HGTV.  When the reveal of whatever show they were watching came on, the wife responded in a sarcastic (and quite judgy) tone, “Look at that, it’s not gray and white.”

Well, I must admit that it is looking a little bleak around here.  I mostly decorate in gray, white, tan, and beige.  I do have pops of blue in my living room, but for the most part it is very neutral.  I’ve been looking around for flowers and some ways to add in some spring decor and this is what I found.

**affliate links ahead.  I do get paid a small commission if you purchase through my link.**

(1.)This little Home Sweet Home pillow cover is so sweet with it’s bright colors and country flowers.  The best part?  It is only $3.56! You don’t even have to purchase a new insert, just stick one of your throw pillows in there and voila!

(2.) This cute little lantern is the perfect pop of spring blue. I imagine a cluster of these sitting on a shelf in my living room. It is also inexpensive only coming in at $4.59

(3.) I love some cotton stems, but they have no color. The next best thing is a handful of lavender and oh, doesn’t the real thing smell amazing? I love lavender. Stick this faux bunch in a mason jar and you have instant spring.

(4.) I love flour sacks.  I recently threw out all of my old  kitchen towels and invested in a bunch of white flour sack towels.  However, if you need a little color in your gray and white kitchen (because I know the struggle) these are the perfect solution.  They could even double as napkins.

If you want to add color to your home seasonally, don’t invest in new paint or new furniture.  Switch out those pillow covers, add a few pops through floral or small pieces full of color, and add plants!  Invest in some real deal greenery!  My favorite is a small boxwood wreath that hangs above my sink.

Happy Saturday shopping!
